Arhat Labs is an applied AI lab developing fundamental research, the agent infrastructure built on it, and the operating systems that put both to work inside real organisations.

To make advanced intelligence useful, trustworthy, and accessible to every person and organization.

Arhat Labs operates across three connected layers: fundamental AI research, the agent infrastructure built on it, and the operating systems that run real work in a specific domain. They are not separate businesses. They are the same problem approached at three altitudes.

The pattern we keep encountering is this: capability is rarely the constraint. What limits an AI system in practice is whether it understands the specific context it is working in, whether the people around it can see what it is doing, and whether anyone can tell afterwards whether it did the right thing.

That is what the lab works on. The research makes the systems legible. The products make the research honest.

Principles

These are working constraints rather than values statements — each one rules something out.

  • Build for real work

    AI should complete meaningful tasks, not merely generate impressive demonstrations.

  • Preserve human agency

    Important actions should remain understandable, reviewable, and appropriately controlled.

  • Measure rather than assume

    Agent quality must be evaluated continuously against real tasks and outcomes.

  • Research through deployment

    Practical use exposes the most important unanswered technical questions.

  • Make intelligence accessible

    Powerful systems should not be limited to the largest companies or most technical users.

Founders

Pranay Gupta

Co-founder

Pranay is a former Staff Engineer and engineering leader at Google with more than 15 years of experience building internet-scale systems. He led teams across Google Ads, Search, and Cloud AI, and launched multiple generative AI products for large enterprises.

He led the development of enterprise conversational and voice AI systems used by major global organizations — most recently the food-ordering AI deployed by McDonald's, Wendy's, and Burger King.

He holds multiple patents, and his work at Google was recognized with a Founders' Award, the company's highest internal honor, as well as Peer and Spot awards.

Prakhar Gupta

Co-founder

Prakhar is a two-time healthtech founder and former AI product leader. He launched one of the first AI voice agents deployed in health insurance — work covered by The Wall Street Journal and Forbes.

He co-founded LetsMD, growing it from two people to a team of around 50 before its exit, and pioneered the concept of 0% healthcare lending and pricing transparency in India.

He also closed the first NBA partnership by an Indian company. His experience spans product development, business building, partnerships, and go-to-market execution.
